Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jason Mok!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shuai Jiao!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Jiao.
Mok doesn't manage to clinch there - Jiao circles away.
Mok is looking to clinch but Jiao is avoiding it.
Jiao takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Jiao shoots in but Mok avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Jiao shoots in for a double leg but Mok sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Jiao stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Mok.
Jiao swats away the attempt to clinch by Mok.
Mok takes the fight into the clinch.
Jiao missing with knees to the body.
Jiao is looking to break free of the clinch but Mok has double underhooks.
Mok scores with a knee to the head.
It looks like Shuai Jiao has been cut.
Mok escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Mok tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jiao paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Jiao fails with a takedown attempt.
Jason Mok has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shuai Jiao.
Jiao looks gassed!
Mok keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Mok lands with a nice body punch.
Jiao avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Jiao throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Mok fails in his attempt to clinch.
Mok drives through and clinches with Jiao against the cage.
Jiao tries to pull guard but Mok won't allow it.
Mok looking to throw knees to the head but Jiao is blocking nicely.
Jiao drops down looking for an ankle pick but Mok pulls his leg out and moves away.
Jiao drops Mok with a nice combination! Jiao dives into Mok's guard, looking to finish!
Mok is rocked!
Jiao is stalling in the full guard.
Oh Mok is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Jiao stands up and waves to Mok to follow him.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Mok tries to clinch there but Jiao circles away.
Jiao shoots in for a takedown. Oh, that's a huge slam! Mok is on queer street and Jiao is pounding down on him with a barage of strikes. The ref is forced to step in and stop the fight. Great finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Slam). Shuai Jiao!
