Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kain Saint (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Saint might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Be Aggresive by Faith No More. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Kain Saint!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Adam Jones!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Steven Brown and James Atkins.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saint fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Saint lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Jones at a distance.
Saint misses with a shot to the body
and Jones counters with a nice uppercut.

Jones gets caught napping as Saint dives in and scores a takedown. Jones manages to retain guard.
Saint stands up over Jones, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Saint drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Jones manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Saint has Jones in his guard.

Saint isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Jones stacks Saint on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Jones!

Saint tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Jones wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
You can see the frustration on Saint's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Jones decides to stand back up.

Saint throws a head kick that misses.
Saint dives in and grabs Jones's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jones pushes down on Saint's head and hops out.
Jones is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Saint.
Saint connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Saint checks a leg kick nicely.
Jones throws a looping overhand right but Saint ducks down to avoid it.
Saint throws a leg kick but Jones sees it coming and moves out of range.
Jones leaves Saint with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kain Saint. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Saint shoots in for a double leg but Jones sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Jones throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

and Jones counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Saint thinking.
Saint throws a lazy right hand but Jones sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Saint throws the kick towards the body but Jones avoids it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Adam Jones will probably get the nod.

Saint cracks Jones with a solid left hand.
Saint throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Jones works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Saint looking to sit in guard and control but Jones gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Saint is looking for a triangle but Jones pushes his legs off easily.

Saint has his foot on Jones's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Jones works his way back into a safe position though.

Jones got a little sloppy there for a moment and Saint has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jones has managed to get both his arms back between Saint's legs - danger averted.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Saint is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Jones gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Saint shoots and misses
letting Jones counter with a right hand.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kain Saint. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Jones shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Saint swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Jones.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Kain Saint dominated that second round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Saint working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Jones's head.
Saint with a flurry of punches that miss.
Saint's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Saint has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Saint drops back, looking for a kneebar! Jones looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Jones looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Jones!

Jones decides to stand up, so the ref orders Saint to his feet.
Saint moves away from the strike by Jones.
Saint feints and then cracks Jones's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Jones down.

and Jones cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Adam Jones is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Jones throws a jab but it's blocked by Saint.
Saint misses with a left hand
letting Jones counter with a right hand.
Adam Jones seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Jones throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Saint sees it coming and avoids it easily.

and Jones makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Kain Saint.
I think Saint has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
