Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Simon Pruniopulos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pinaco Zalutju (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Simon Pruniopulos! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Pinaco Zalutju! The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, John Kavanagh and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pruniopulos throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Zalutju counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Pruniopulos's guard now. Zalutju's corner is telling him to maintain position. Pruniopulos keeping full guard, as Zalutju tries to pass. Zalutju content to stall in guard here. Zalutju tries to free his leg and advance position but Pruniopulos is retaining full guard. Zalutju sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Pruniopulos's guard. Zalutju stands up out of the half guard. Pruniopulos shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Zalutju napping and manages to drive through into side control! Pruniopulos wants to control for a moment but Zalutju uses the opportunity to move back to half guard. Zalutju is looking for a sweep. Pruniopulos is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pruniopulos wants to stand up but Zalutju is controlling the position.
Zalutju regains full guard. Nicely done. Zalutju is pulling down on Pruniopulos's head. It's preventing any offense from Pruniopulos, at least for the moment. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Zalutju keeping moving, preventing Pruniopulos from controlling successfully. Zalutju trying to control the position here. Pruniopulos wants to stand and escape but instead Zalutju has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Pruniopulos scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Pruniopulos is breathing heavily. Pruniopulos is looking to clinch. Zalutju throws a body kick the misses and Zalutju takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Pruniopulos shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Zalutju counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Zalutju. Zalutju looking to pass the guard. Zalutju's corner is telling him to maintain position.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Pinaco Zalutju. Zalutju drives through with a takedown into Pruniopulos's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Zalutju content to stall in guard here. Zalutju prevents Pruniopulos from getting back to his feet. Zalutju is stalling in the full guard. Zalutju prevents Pruniopulos from getting back to his feet.

Pinaco Zalutju has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Zalutju waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Pruniopulos. Zalutju shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Zalutju showed some decent athleticism there. Zalutju decides to stand up. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Zalutju lands a nice looking body kick. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Pinaco Zalutju dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
