Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Makosa Michinoku (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Snow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Michinoku comes to the cage accompanied by Primavera by Ludovico Einaudi. Jon Snow will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Makosa Michinoku! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jon Snow! The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Shigeki Sano and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Snow throws a head kick but Michinoku moves out of range.
Michinoku scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Michinoku in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Snow is not content to let Michinoku control the position. Michinoku working away. Snow is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Michinoku is staying active. Snow is trying to improve his position. Snow is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Michinoku trying to control the position but Snow is working away. Snow is looking to reverse the position. Michinoku working the body and head with strikes. Snow stops Michinoku from passing to mount. Michinoku working the ground and pound from side control. Michinoku has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's one minute gone in the round. Michinoku laying and praying for a moment but Snow takes advantage and regains half guard. Snow wants to improve his position but Michinoku is controlling well.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Michinoku in particular looking to stall. Michinoku throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Ground and pound from Michinoku. Michinoku is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Michinoku winds up and cracks Snow with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Snow tries to get to full guard but Michinoku has control of the leg. Michinoku wants to take a breather but Snow is having none of it. Michinoku seems to be looking for submissions.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Michinoku not landing any meaningful shots this time. Michinoku is controlling the pace.
Snow is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Michinoku scores with a couple of nice shots.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Snow swats away the attempt to clinch by Michinoku. Snow gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Snow keeping full guard, as Michinoku tries to pass. Michinoku is breathing heavily. Snow utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Snow looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Michinoku thows a big elbow that misses. Michinoku looking to sit in guard and control but Snow gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Snow with a flurry of punches that miss.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Snow trying to control the position from guard on top but Michinoku is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. A head kick misses from Snow. Makosa Michinoku seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Snow looks for a takedown but Michinoku sprawls well. Michinoku looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Snow tries to land a sweep but no joy. Snow keeping moving, preventing Michinoku from controlling successfully. Michinoku lands a couple of digs. Michinoku keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Snow's head. Snow is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Michinoku wants to pass the guard but Snow is keeping the position. Michinoku postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Michinoku working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Michinoku is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Snow is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Michinoku works over Snow with some ground and pound from guard. Snow looking to hit a scissor sweep but Michinoku is one step ahead there.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Michinoku doesn't succeed with the takedown and Snow decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Michinoku's guard. Michinoku has momentary wrist control but Snow slips an elbow through the middle. Snow wants to control from the top but Michinoku keeps moving. Snow throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Snow is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Snow trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Snow trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Michinoku keeping full guard, as Snow tries to pass. Snow trying to control the position from guard on top but Michinoku is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Michinoku looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Snow! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Snow wants to hold on but Michinoku pushes him away. Michinoku in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Snow is in a horrible position here. Michinoku smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Michinoku prevents Snow from getting the reversal. Michinoku lands a nice shot to the head. Snow can't escape the position.

Michinoku cracks Snow with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Snow is in all sorts of trouble here.

Snow tries to get back to half guard but can't. BOOM! Michinoku connects with a massive shot to the dome!
That's six minutes gone in the round. Snow gets back to half guard. Michinoku drops an elbow to the side of Snow's head. Michinoku is looking to advance position but Snow won't allow it. Michinoku is keen to just control but Snow is a slippery customer. Michinoku takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Michinoku lands a nice short elbow. Michinoku working the head and body with strikes.
Snow is rocked! Snow tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Michinoku has advanced to mount. Uh oh. Michinoku in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Snow is still in real trouble! Can Michinoku finish him? Snow takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Michinoku's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 7:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Makosa Michinoku!
