Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sam Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Terry Captain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, William Gold and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Captain is fending him off so far but Smith persists. Nope, Captain circles away and we're back to standing.
Captain misses with a leg kick
and Smith counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Smith.
Smith wants to pass the guard but Captain is keeping the position.
Smith in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Smith wants to control from the top but Captain keeps moving.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Captain can do anything to dispel that myth.
Smith passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Smith thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Smith wants to control but Captain is keeping him busy.
Captain tries to escape but Smith is in control.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Captain tries to strike from the bottom but misses.
Smith has an Americana. Captain didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Smith is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Smith hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
