Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between David Zubersoft (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kai Diao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zubersoft comes to the cage accompanied by Metallica - Enter Sandman. Diao has chosen 半斤八兩 as his entrance music. David Zubersoft has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, James Glass and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zubersoft tries to clinch but Diao is having none of it.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Zubersoft checks a leg kick.
Diao misses with an attempted mid kick.
Zubersoft closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Diao to the mat! Diao manages to get full guard.
Zubersoft pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Diao is keeping the position for now.
Zubersoft is in close to Diao's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Zubersoft is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Diao tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Zubersoft was well out of range. Poor timing from Diao.

Diao throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Zubersoft shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Diao as he avoids it easily.
Zubersoft drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Zubersoft has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Diao is trying to control the position but Zubersoft postures up.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Zubersoft lands a heavy elbow.
Diao is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Zubersoft wants to control the pace but Diao is squirming around nicely.
Diao really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Zubersoft. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Zubersoft postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Diao looks a forlorn figure.
Zubersoft is working for a guillotine from mount but Diao frees his head quite easily.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Zubersoft ducks under a wild hook from Diao.

and Diao counters with a good low kick that Zubersoft was not able to check.
Diao dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Zubersoft. That did some damage!
Zubersoft moves into the clinch successfully.
Zubersoft creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Zubersoft has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Diao is trying to keep an underhook but Zubersoft manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Zubersoft seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Diao does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

You get the feeling that Diao really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Zubersoft tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Zubersoft is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Diao is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
