Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rocky Chielini (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Kirov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Max Kirov is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Rocky Chielini! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Max Kirov! The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Aleksandr Martynov and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chielini moves into the clinch successfully.
Kirov looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Kirov jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Chielini walks away with a smile on his face. Kirov gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Kirov feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Kirov slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Chielini is working an open guard so Kirov takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Chielini tries a head kick but it misses.
Chielini lands a big head kick that sends Kirov tumbling to the mat! Chielini takes a step backwards and waves Kirov back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Max Kirov has been cut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Chielini throws a sloppy head kick and Kirov moves out of range easily. Kirov is still on wobbly legs! Can Chielini finish him? Chielini tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Kirov throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Chielini. Kirov seems to have recovered his senses. Kirov scores with a nice right hand.
Chielini throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Kirov connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Chielini momentarily.
Kirov rushes Chielini and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch. Kirov changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Chielini fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Chielini darts in and clinches Kirov up against the ropes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kirov takes an elbow to the forehead. A battle for position here, against the ropes. Chielini lands an elbow inside. Chielini lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Chielini lands an elbow inside that Kirov shrugs off. Kirov blocks an elbow strike. A right hook to the body lands for Kirov.

Kirov has had enough of the clinch but Chielini keeps him there for the moment. Kirov tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Rocky Chielini has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Max Kirov. Kirov manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Kirov wants to sweep but no luck. Kirov has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Kirov manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Chielini really wants to buck Kirov off and get back to his feet. Kirov controlling the position easily from mount. Kirov with a couple of short strikes. You get the feeling that Chielini really doesn't like being in this position too much.

We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Kirov sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Kirov should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Kirov raining down shots from the mount! Chielini wants to try and get back to his feet. Kirov content just to control the position here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Kirov working away from the top, dropping strikes. Kirov looking to isolate an arm here. Chielini doesn't see it coming and as Kirov extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Kirov!
