Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Raymond Rabago!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Stewart Dunkirk and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rabago throws a sloppy head kick

and Woodard decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Rabago's guard.

Woodard drops back looking for a leg! Rabago is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Rabago manages to kick Woodard off! Woodard jumps back into Rabago's guard.

Woodard thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Rabago really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Woodard. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Woodard drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Rabago dives on top into guard.

Woodard is looking for a triangle here but Rabago uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Rabago tries to stand but Woodard is controlling his head.
Woodard is looking for a sweep.

Rabago tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Woodard is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Rabago's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Woodard has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Rabago can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Rabago must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Rabago can do anything to dispel that myth.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Woodard is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Rabago sees it coming and defends easily.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Woodard is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Rabago is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
