Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Shane Palmer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johann Brink (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Shane Palmer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Johann Brink! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Bruno Lombardi and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Palmer misses with a combination
and Brink counters by moving into the clinch. Palmer looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Brink lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
It looks like Shane Palmer has been cut. Brink lands a knee to the head.
Brink decides to pull guard. Palmer wanted to stand there but Brink had control of the position. Brink manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Palmer manages to get himself to full guard.
Brink gets to his feet - Palmer follows without any prompting. Brink clinches up with Palmer and pushes him back against the cage. Brink lands a knee to the head.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Brink seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Palmer on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Still in half guard, Brink seems content to control. Palmer is trying to stand up here but Brink is controlling him well. Brink passes the guard and advances to mount! Brink postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Palmer looks a forlorn figure.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Brink raining down hammerfists from mount. Brink scores with a couple of good head shots there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brink has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Palmer's face.
Palmer takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Brink breaks from Palmer's wrist control and lands an elbow. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Brink scoring with strikes but Palmer is staying in there. Palmer on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Palmer tries to get out of the position. Brink punishing his opponent with strikes. Palmer is bucking up trying to escape but Brink cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Palmer takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. That's four minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Brink is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Palmer can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Brink closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Brink lands in his opponent's guard. Palmer knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Brink on the ground. Palmer working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Brink. Brink works over Palmer with some ground and pound from guard. Brink throws a big right hand that misses. Brink postures up and lands a big shot to Palmer's brow. Brink works a leg free and moves into half guard. Palmer is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Brink scores with a couple of nice shots. He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Palmer turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Brink off and cradles Palmer's limp body as Brink celebrates with his corner.
