The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Saam Ante and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davidson tries for a takedown but Oliver circles away easily
and Oliver counters with a single leg into guard. Davidson didn't expect that.
Oliver gets to his feet. Davidson looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Davidson slips under a jab.
Derek Davidson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Oliver closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Oliver lands in his opponent's guard.
Oliver controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Oliver decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Davidson gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Oliver counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Oliver is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Oliver lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Oliver seems to be working for a kimura but Davidson defends the submission attempt.
