Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Takanori Sakurai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jiro Sora (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sakurai kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is number girl syndrome. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jiro Sora!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sakurai fails with an attempt to clinch.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Sakurai .
Sora sets himself and throws a head kick that knocks Sakurai to the ground! Sora dives into full mount looking to finish!
Sakurai is rocked!
It looks like Takanori Sakurai has been cut.
Sora is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
Oh Sakurai is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Sakurai shoots in looking for a takedown. Sora tries to sprawl out of it but Sakurai keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Sora manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Sakurai seems to have got his legs back now.
Sakurai misses with a takedown attempt - Sora sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Takanori Sakurai . That's going to take a lot out of him.
Sora lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Sakurai dodges the punch combination from Sora.
Sakurai shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Sora is desperately trying to improve his position but Sakurai has a good base and remains in mount.
Sakurai looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Sora sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Sora looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Sakurai prevents Sora from improving his position.
Sora gets back to full guard.
Sakurai looking to pass the guard.
Sora looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sakurai is one step ahead there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sakurai is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Sora has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Sakurai is looking to defend but Sora has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Sakurai ! Sora pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Sakurai taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Jiro Sora!
