Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Felix Hartmann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hideyoshi Yamamoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yamamoto is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Sandstorm. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Hideyoshi Yamamoto was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Felix Hartmann! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hideyoshi Yamamoto! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shirou Masuda and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hartmann throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Hartmann showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Yamamoto.
Yamamoto tries to clinch but Hartmann moves away and Hartmann holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Hartmann is pushing Yamamoto up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Hartmann gets control of Yamamoto's arms and successfully pulls guard. Hartmann will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Hartmann wants to sweep but no luck. Hartmann preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Yamamoto should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Hartmann controlling the position. Hartmann manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

That's one minute gone in the round. Hartmann controlling the pace for now. Yamamoto wants to control but Hartmann is having none of it. Hartmann sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Hartmann breaks from Yamamoto's wrist control and lands an elbow. Hartmann is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Yamamoto is surviving well by controlling Hartmann's body position as best he can. Hartmann tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Yamamoto tries to lock up and control but Hartmann gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Hartmann controlling the pace for now. Yamamoto really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Hartmann takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Hartmann scoring with strikes but Yamamoto is staying in there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hartmann content just to control the position here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hartmann working for a guillotine from mount but Yamamoto is in no mood to give up. Hartmann controlling the pace for now. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Yamamoto has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Yamamoto gets caught napping as Hartmann dives in and scores a takedown. Yamamoto manages to retain guard. Hartmann stays in close to Yamamoto's body and controls the position. Hartmann pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Yamamoto is keeping the position for now.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Felix Hartmann just wasn't active enough. Hartmann has taken the fight to the clinch.
Hartmann using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Yamamoto has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Hartmann manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Hartmann wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Yamamoto wants to pass the guard but Hartmann is keeping the position. Yamamoto preventing the sweep.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Hartmann keeping moving, preventing Yamamoto from controlling successfully. Hartmann pulls Yamamoto in close to prevent any damage.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Felix Hartmann just wasn't active enough. Hartmann moves into the clinch successfully.
Hartmann jumps guard.
Yamamoto wants to control from the top but Hartmann keeps moving. Yamamoto looking to sit in guard and control but Hartmann gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hartmann decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Hartmann misses with a series of wild punches.
Yamamoto tries to keep at a distance but Hartmann has taken the fight into the clinch. Hartmann has Yamamoto pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Hartmann pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Yamamoto tumbling to the mat - Hartmann dives into Yamamoto's guard. Hartmann landing some decent shots from guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Yamamoto is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Hartmann showing good wrestling skills to control the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Felix Hartmann dominated that second round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Hartmann drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Hartmann won't allow Yamamoto to sweep him here. Yamamoto is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Hartmann advances to half guard. Hartmann perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Hartmann decides to stand up. Yamamoto misses with a takedown attempt letting Hartmann counter with a right hand. Hartmann delivers a nice body kick. Yamamoto takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hartmann feints and as Yamamoto raises his hands in defense, Hartmann changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Hartmann is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Yamamoto wants to control but Hartmann passes easily into half guard.
Hartmann is taking a breather. Yamamoto says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Ground and pound from Hartmann.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hartmann stands up out of the half guard. Hartmann looking to score a takedown here. Yamamoto is defending well but Hartmann drives through and ends up in Yamamoto's guard. Hartmann controlling from the top position. Hartmann with a nice head shot there. Hartmann stays in close to Yamamoto's body and controls the position. Hartmann pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Yamamoto is keeping the position for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hartmann showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Hartmann's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Hartmann in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Hartmann slips nicely into half guard. Felix Hartmann is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
And that's the end of the fight! Felix Hartmann showed his dominance in that final round. Well Hartmann has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
