And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shigeki Sano and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saukko misses with a few strikes there.
LaCroix tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Saukko misses with a combination
and LaCroix counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Saukko!
LaCroix can't control as he wanted to and Saukko manages to get the fight back to his half guard.
Saukko is trying to stand.
Saukko kicks off LaCroix and gets to his feet.
Saukko falls off balance throwing a combination
and LaCroix counters with a nice double leg into side control. Saukko won't be happy with that.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
LaCroix is pressing down on Saukko's thigh, looking to free his foot. Saukko is holding on for now.

Saukko really doesn't want to stay on the ground with LaCroix. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Saukko is not content to let LaCroix control the position.
LaCroix thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Saukko's head.

LaCroix stalling away here and it's allowed Saukko to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
LaCroix is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Saukko is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Saukko has escaped and now he's on top!
LaCroix has his foot on Saukko's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Saukko works his way back into a safe position though.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
LaCroix has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Saukko has passed into side control.
LaCroix might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Saukko decides to stand back up. Saukko steps back and let's LaCroix get back to his feet.

and LaCroix decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Saukko's guard.

LaCroix swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Saukko is now in LaCroix's guard. A big mistake from LaCroix there, giving up the dominant position!

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
LaCroix closes the distance and clinches up with Saukko, looking for a takedown. LaCroix pushes Saukko against the cage but Saukko circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for LaCroix, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
