Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Julle Bulle! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Andrew Hahar! The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Kenichi Hosakawa and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hahar looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
It looks like Andrew Hahar has been cut. Julle Bulle seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bulle darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Bulle is controlling the pace.
Hahar moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Hahar looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hahar is trying to keep Bulle in close.
Hahar wants to sweep but no luck. Hahar looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Bulle looking to pass the guard. Hahar is looking for a triangle but Bulle pushes his legs off easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Bulle looking to sit in guard and control but Hahar gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Hahar loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Hahar is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Hahar stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bulle swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hahar stays in close to Bulle's body and controls the position. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Andrew Hahar has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Bulle shoots in looking for a takedown but Hahar manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Bulle's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Bulle swings and misses with a shot to the body and Hahar counters by moving into the clinch. A frustrated look appears on Bulle's face as he tries to break the clinch. Bulle escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Bulle scores with a jab to the head.
Hahar swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Bulle throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bulle has his takedown stuffed and Hahar connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Hahar closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Hahar tries to move into full mount but can't pass Bulle's legs. Bulle is positioning himself to get back to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Julle Bulle will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Andrew Hahar's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Hahar has Bulle up against the cage in a clinch.
Hahar tries to break free but Bulle pushes him back against the cage. Bulle breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Bulle gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Hahar counters with a takedown into side control. Hahar has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Hahar with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Bulle to score with a decent uppercut. Bulle shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Hahar counters with a lovely straight right hand! Hahar tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Bulle manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Hahar tries to clinch but Bulle is having none of it. Bulle feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Hahar is trying to control the position but Bulle postures up. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Hahar wants to sweep here but Bulle controlling him for the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hahar is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Bulle really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Bulle is standing up over Hahar. Hahar looks to escape but Bulle dives into side control.
A lull in the action here as Bulle stalls from top position. Hahar is trying to improve his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Hahar gets back to half guard. Hahar is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Bulle pulls his head out easily. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Hahar tries to get to full guard but Bulle has control of the leg. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bulle wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hahar keeps working.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bulle is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Hahar is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Julle Bulle wasn't doing enough on the ground. Bulle swings widly with a right hand
and Hahar counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Hahar moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Hahar scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Julle Bulle is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Bulle throws a low kick but Hahar moves out of range easily. Hahar closes the distance and clinches. Hahar has Bulle pushed against the cage. Bulle wants to break free but Hahar has control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hahar works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Hahar lands a takedown into guard.
Hahar sitting in guard, not really doing much. Bulle keeping moving, preventing Hahar from controlling successfully. Hahar is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Andrew Hahar showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Andrew Hahar's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Bulle blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Hahar is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Bulle tries to circle away but Hahar has him pinned against the cage. Hahar has Bulle pressed against the cage, preventing Bulle from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Bulle breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Hahar fails with an attempt to clinch.
Bulle throws the left hand but Hahar avoids the punch easily. Bulle drives through with a takedown into guard. Hahar looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hahar is on top in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hahar trying to control but Bulle is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hahar looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Hahar wants to control from the top but Bulle keeps moving.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Andrew Hahar wasn't active enough on the ground. Bulle throws an off balance right hand
and Hahar counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Hahar is stalling in the full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hahar has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Bulle is proving hard to escape from. Hahar wants to control from the top but Bulle keeps moving.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Hahar shoots in and bounces Bulle off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Hahar controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Hahar trying to control but Bulle is working from the bottom. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
And that's the end of the fight! Andrew Hahar comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Hahar has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
