Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rush Mayers!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Alec Ball and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mayers takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Rollins looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Mayers!
Rollins looking to control but Mayers is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Mayers tries to hold on but Rollins pushes him away.
Mayers bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Mayers drops back looking for a leg! Rollins is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Rollins manages to kick Mayers off! Mayers jumps back into Rollins's guard.

Mayers looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Mayers is looking for a triangle but Rollins pushes his legs off easily.

Mayers is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Rollins defends well.

Mayers has a closed guard, preventing Rollins from standing up.
Rollins wants to control from the top but Mayers keeps moving.

Mayers had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Rollins defends it easily.

Mayers manages to escape and get back to his feet.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Rollins throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Mayers was covering up waiting for the punch and Rollins finishes the takedown easily into guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Rollins decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Mike Rollins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Rollins counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Mike Rollins will probably get the nod.

Rollins lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Rollins wants to control the pace but Mayers is squirming around nicely.

Mayers is desperately trying to improve his position but Rollins has a good base and remains in mount.

Mayers is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Rollins's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Rollins's back!

Mayers has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Rollins has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Rollins shoots in and gets a takedown into Mayers's guard.

Mayers is looking to sinch up a triangle. Rollins throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Mayers's body to avoid the submission. Mayers has instead reached around Rollins's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Mayers arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
