Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Stones Mahones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Desmond Hume! The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Bruno Hogan and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hume instigates a clinch. Hume stalling in the clinch but Mahones improves position. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Mahones. Mahones throws a head punch that misses. Hume is stalling here.
Hume using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Mahones has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Hume looks gassed! Mahones digs a right hand underneath Hume's ribcage. Hume let out a lung full of air as it connected. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Mahones breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Hume is rocked! We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hume can do anything to dispel that myth. Mahones slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Mahones thows a big elbow that misses. Mahones trying to control but Hume is working from the bottom. Hume utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Hume keeping moving, preventing Mahones from controlling successfully. Mahones throws a big right hand that misses. Mahones throws a strike but Hume rolls with it and manages to sweep. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Hume is looking to work some ground and pound but Mahones has wrist control. Hume lands a couple of digs. Hume trying to control but Mahones is working from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mahones stuffs the takedown attempt from Hume. Hume gets slowly back to his feet. Stones Mahones is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Hume takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Hume lands a leg kick that knocks Mahones off balance momentarily. Mahones throws out a loose jab but Hume uses good head movement to avoid it. Hume moves into the clinch. Mahones pushes Hume back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Mahones is leaning against Hume and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. A head punch on the inside from Mahones fails to land.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Hume misses with a takedown attempt and Mahones counters with a nice uppercut. Stones Mahones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Desmond Hume. Hume slips a jab and a cross from Mahones.
Mahones scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Mahones lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Mahones misses with a few strikes there.

Mahones swings wildly with an uppercut but Hume uses good head movement to avoid it. Mahones stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Stones Mahones dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Hume misses with a takedown and Mahones makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Stones Mahones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Desmond Hume. Mahones throws a right hand that Hume ducks under and follows up with a left that Hume also avoids with ease. Mahones tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hume was well out of range. Poor timing from Mahones. A big left from Mahones misses. Hume has his takedown stuffed and Mahones connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
That's two minutes gone in the round. No luck for Hume with that takedown attempt. Mahones smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Stones Mahones is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Mahones throws the left hand but Hume avoids the punch easily. Hume throws a leg kick but Mahones sees it coming and moves out of range. Hume clinches up with Mahones and pushes him back against the cage. Mahones is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Hume can do to turn this around? Hume trying to control the position but instead, Mahones has worked for underhooks and has pushed Hume into the cage.

Mahones throws a big uppercut that drops Hume! More strikes from Mahones and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Hume lies dazed against the cage as Mahones celebrates with his cornermen!
