The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yukihiro Shimada and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rokuro misses with a head kick.

Rokuro shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Rokuro was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rokuro goes for an armbar but Sugoi turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Sugoi.

Rokuro has his foot on Sugoi's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Sugoi works his way back into a safe position though.
Rokuro doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Sugoi is looking to stand up but Rokuro won't let him.

Rokuro is looking for a triangle but Sugoi pushes his legs off easily.
Rokuro has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sugoi can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
