Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joachim Van Den Bossche (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Joachim Van Den Bossche! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Adam Jones! The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Patrick Alders and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Van Den Bossche. Van Den Bossche fails with the takedown and Jones counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Jones passes the guard and advances to mount! Van Den Bossche is looking to improve his position but Jones isn't that keen on the idea. Jones controlling his opponent. Jones lands a nice shot to the head. Van Den Bossche can't escape the position.
Jones is landing with some decent strikes but Van Den Bossche is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Jones looking to control and managing it successfully. Jones fails to advance to Van Den Bossche's back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones controlling the pace for now. Van Den Bossche is in all sorts of trouble here.
Van Den Bossche manages to regain half guard. Good work. Jones is figuring out what he wants to do next. Jones's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Adam Jones has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Jones closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Jones no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Van Den Bossche trying to control the position from guard on top but Jones is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jones is adopting a defensive guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. A momentary lapse in concentration from Van Den Bossche enables Jones to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Van Den Bossche manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Jones controls from within his opponent's guard. Jones must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Jones looks gassed! Van Den Bossche looking for a guillotine here but Jones defends easily.
Jones got a little sloppy there for a moment and Van Den Bossche has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jones has managed to get both his arms back between Van Den Bossche's legs - danger averted.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Jones content to stall in guard here. Van Den Bossche trying to control the position.
Van Den Bossche wants to control the position but Jones says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Van Den Bossche won't allow Jones to pass to mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Van Den Bossche is looking to control Jones's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Van Den Bossche avoid being mounted? And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Adam Jones dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Jones clinches. Jones should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Van Den Bossche fails to pull guard.
Jones pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Jones scores a takedown into full mount! Jones lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Jones punching from mount but Van Den Bossche doing a good job of avoiding damage. Jones throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Van Den Bossche because Jones loaded up on that one. Jones trying to control but Van Den Bossche is having none of it. Jones is breathing heavily. Van Den Bossche gets back to half guard. Van Den Bossche trying to hold on to Jones's head to control him but Jones postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Jones wants to free his trapped foot but Van Den Bossche is holding on for dear life with his legs. Van Den Bossche has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Jones is working away from the top position though. Van Den Bossche is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Jones closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Van Den Bossche's guard. Adam Jones has got the better of the ground game so far. Jones throwing strikes but missing. Van Den Bossche controls Jones momentarily but Jones frees himself.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Jones controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Jones wants to control from the top but Van Den Bossche keeps moving. Van Den Bossche is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Van Den Bossche is trying to keep Jones in close.

Adam Jones showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Jones decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Jones uses his free foot to push down on Van Den Bossche's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Van Den Bossche. Jones looking to control and managing it successfully. Van Den Bossche tries to lock up and control but Jones gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Jones misses with a head shot. Jones throws a sloppy strike and Van Den Bossche uses the opportunity to reverse the position! A bit of a scramble here and Van Den Bossche has ended up in Jones's guard.

Jones stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Van Den Bossche swivels though and keeps the full guard. Jones is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Van Den Bossche is trying to control the position but Jones postures up. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Joachim Van Den Bossche wasn't doing enough on the ground. Van Den Bossche fails with the takedown and Jones counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Van Den Bossche's guard now. Jones stays in close to Van Den Bossche's body and controls the position. Jones tries to free his leg and advance position but Van Den Bossche is retaining full guard. Van Den Bossche is trying to control the position but Jones postures up. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Jones stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Van Den Bossche swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Van Den Bossche is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Jones perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Jones is trying to control. Van Den Bossche wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Adam Jones. Van Den Bossche tries for a takedown but Jones circles away easily and Jones counters with a single leg into guard. Van Den Bossche didn't expect that. Jones controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Jones is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Jones has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Van Den Bossche is proving hard to escape from. Jones controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Van Den Bossche with a lazy takedown attempt and Jones decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Van Den Bossche's guard.
