PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Michael Vronsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anderson Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anderson has chosen Skyscrapers - Ready, Set, Fall! as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Anderson Anderson!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Frank Dennis and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anderson bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Vronsky's head backwards.
Anderson shoots and misses
and Vronsky counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Anderson scores with a push kick.
Anderson scores with a jab to the jaw.
Anderson gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

Anderson moves into the clinch successfully.

Anderson manages to break the clinch.
Vronsky circles away from the clinch attempt
and Vronsky makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Anderson's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Anderson duly obliges.
Vronsky misses with a wild combination.
Anderson looks to land a combination. Vronsky sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Anderson takes the fight into the clinch.
Anderson misses with a body punch.

Vronsky escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Anderson throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Anderson lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Anderson Anderson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Anderson throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Anderson throws a wild body kick that Vronsky sees coming a mile off.
Vronsky misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

and Vronsky connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
A looping hook to the body misses from Vronsky. Anderson does a little dance to reset his feet.

Anderson lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Vronsky!

Vronsky is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Vronsky might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Anderson seems to be trying to get a kimura but instead Vronsky has recovered full guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Anderson wanted to stand there but Vronsky had control of the position.
Vronsky is wriggling around but Anderson manages to pass to half guard.
Anderson is looking to advance position but Vronsky won't allow it.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Vronsky gets caught napping as Anderson dives in and scores a takedown. Vronsky manages to retain guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Anderson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Anderson thows a huge punch but Vronsky dodges it nicely.

Anderson is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Vronsky is just riding it out for now. Anderson eventually gives up the hold.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Anderson has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Anderson throws some wild stikes that Vronsky manages to avoid easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Vronsky wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Anderson postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Vronsky looks a forlorn figure.

Anderson swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Vronsky is now in Anderson's guard. A big mistake from Anderson there, giving up the dominant position!

Anderson will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Anderson wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Vronsky lands a nice short elbow.

Anderson Anderson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Vronsky's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Anderson is on top in guard.

Anderson is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Vronsky to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Vronsky shrugs it off.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

I would just about give that final round to Anderson Anderson.
Well Anderson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
