The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

James throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Guy tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. James is in Guy's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Guy has a closed guard, preventing James from standing up.

Guy is working an open guard so James takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Guy tries for a takedown but James circles away easily

so James counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
James throws a strike but Guy rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Guy shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Guy showed some decent athleticism there.

James is looking to sinch up a triangle. Guy throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to James's body to avoid the submission. James has instead reached around Guy's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! James arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
