Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Will Sams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sams comes to the cage accompanied by Highway to Hell (AC/DC). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Will Sams! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Brian Santos! The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Johanna Lukiainen and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sams thows a left - swing and a miss! Sams shoots in looking for a takedown. Santos tries to sprawl out of it but Sams keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Santos manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Santos throws a body punch but Sams moves out of range. Sams closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Santos breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Santos looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sams tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Sams shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Santos defends it nicely. Santos throws a good cross that connects.
Sams throws a low kick but it's checked well by Santos.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sams throws a head kick that misses. Santos gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Sams would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Santos holds on and takes a little breather. Sams tries to free his leg and advance position but Santos is retaining full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sams throws a big right hand that misses. Santos keeping moving, preventing Sams from controlling successfully. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Sams throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Brian Santos is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Santos misses with a few strikes there.
Santos connects with a high kick. Sams on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Santos. Santos obviously looking to wear him down.
Santos tries a head kick but it misses.
Santos misses with a two punch combination.
Santos swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Santos tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Santos stalks Sams and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Sams's face. Sams staggers backwards, shaken. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Santos, right into the meat.
Sams pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Santos scores with a three punch combo!
Santos lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Santos throws a right and a left that both miss. Sams avoids the head kick by Santos.

Santos avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Santos bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Santos scores with a jab. Sams acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Sams shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Santos as he jumps to the side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Will Sams. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sams misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Santos.
Santos bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Sams's head backwards. Sams walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Santos lands a nice leg kick that just misses Sams's sensitive parts. A combination from Santos does no damage. Santos blocks a head kick by Sams.
Brian Santos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sams throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Santos lands with a hook. Sams tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Sams showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Santos.
Santos throws a right hand that Sams ducks under and follows up with a left that Sams also avoids with ease. Santos tries to bum rush Sams with a series of wild strikes but Sams uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Santos throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Sams fails with a takedown attempt. Santos goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Santos throws a one two combo.
Sams fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Sams is breathing heavily. Santos moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Sams is rocked! Santos goes for a small jab and connects. Now Santos goes in closer pressing the issue. Left hook, right straight! Sams stumbles back but Santos runs in with a huge uppercut knocking Sams to the ground! What a finish! You have to wonder if Sams will ever be the same after a knockout like that.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Brian Santos!
