Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Sparring Partner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Dunn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dunn has chosen Diary of a Madman as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Dunn!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Daniel Franklin and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dunn tries a head kick but it misses.
Dunn lands a head kick. Partner smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Partner misses with a takedown
and Dunn makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Dunn swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Partner counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Dunn misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Partner throws out a powerful jab.
Dunn moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Dunn falls off balance throwing a combination
and Dunn takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Dunn throws a poor cross that misses
and Partner counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Dunn throws a head kick that misses
and Partner counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Partner checks a leg kick nicely.

Dunn thows a body shot but no joy.
Partner punishes Dunn's body with a nice straight punch.
Dunn misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Dunn misses with a kick to the body.
Decent striking displayed by Dunn there.
A nice inside leg kick there by Dunn. That's going to slow Partner down.
Partner blocks a head kick by Dunn.

and Partner counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Partner.
Dunn wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Partner has him pressed against the cage.
Dunn wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Dunn tries to break the clinch but Partner is controlling the position.

enabling Partner to counter with a crisp jab.

and Partner counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Dunn avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Partner throws and elbow that misses. Dunn uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Partner's guard. Nice move by Dunn!

Partner looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dunn would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Partner is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Partner prevents Dunn from standing back up.
Partner thows a huge punch but Dunn dodges it nicely.
Partner thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Partner is thwarting Dunn's attempts to control the position.

Partner is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Dunn still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Dunn has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Dunn decides to stand back up. Dunn steps back and let's Partner get back to his feet.

and Partner makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

and Partner counters with a nice double leg into side control. Dunn won't be happy with that.

Partner tries for a kimura but Dunn is defending well.
Partner misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dunn fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Partner looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Partner uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Dunn.
Partner loads up on a big right hand but Dunn slips the punch.
Dunn throws a series of punches but Partner moves out of range.
Dunn throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Partner counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Dunn is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Partner rather than just go for the knockout.

Partner on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

and Partner counters with a shoot takedown. Dunn fights it but they end up in guard.
Dunn is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Partner tries to free his leg and advance position but Dunn is retaining full guard.
Dunn is trying to control the position but Partner postures up.
Dunn wants to stand and escape but Partner is having none of it.

Partner is looking to work some ground and pound but Dunn has wrist control.

Partner drops back, looking for a kneebar! Dunn looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Dunn looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Dunn!

Dunn stands up and we're back to a striking position.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dunn is trying to maintain the position but Partner is very close to passing his half guard.

Dunn has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Partner is working away from the top position though.
Sparring Partner overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

and Partner counters with a three punch combo that has Dunn backing up. Dunn nods at Partner to acknowledge the strikes.
Partner lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Partner moves out of range of the body kick.
Dunn throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Dunn throws a solid leg kick but Partner takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Dunn.
Partner dips to his left and cracks Dunn with an uppercut!

and Partner connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Sparring Partner showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Partner, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
