Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Dave Gers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Stephen Rollins!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Chris Edwards and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rollins tries to close the distance and clinch up but Gers swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Gers swats away the attempt to clinch by Rollins.
Rollins shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Rollins darts in trying to clinch

and Gers counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Rollins!
Gers raining down hammerfists from mount.
Gers throwing strikes but Rollins recovers to half guard. A much better position.
Gers wants to pass to mount but Rollins is defending the position.
Gers missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Gers not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Gers tries to pass the half guard into mount. Rollins knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Gers is looking to take a break and control but Rollins is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Gers thows a huge punch but Rollins dodges it nicely.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Gers lands a nice short elbow.
Gers throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Rollins is trying to stand back up but Gers is controlling him
Gers lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Rollins avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Gers.
Rollins desperately trying to maintain half guard.
Rollins is staying active underneath Gers, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Gers prevents Rollins from standing back up.
Gers trying to control from Rollins's half guard. Rollins has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
Gers scoring with some ground and pound.
Gers throwing strikes from guard but Rollins blocks nicely.
Gers with a flurry of punches that miss.
Gers looking to pass the guard.
Gers has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Gers thows a big elbow that misses.
Gers working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Rollins's head.

Gers passes Rollins's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Gers trying to mount his opponent but Rollins defends it.
Gers is working hard here to advance position.
Rollins is trying to maintain the position but Gers is very close to passing his half guard.
Rollins on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Rollins avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Gers.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Rollins moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Gers trying to control but Rollins is working from the bottom.
Rollins avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Rollins preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Rollins not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Gers accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Gers pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Rollins is keeping the position for now.
Gers lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Gers throws a big right hand that misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dave Gers dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Gers misses with a lunging right hand
and Rollins counters with a nice body kick.
A chopping leg kick lands by Rollins.
Gers throws an off balance right hand
and Rollins counters with a series of strikes. Gers will be more careful next time no doubt.
Rollins pushes Gers away with a front kick.

Rollins clinches with his opponent.
Gers trying to stall but Rollins improves his position.
Rollins missing with knees to the body.
Gers looking to slow down the pace here.
Gers being controlled against the cage.
Rollins landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Rollins lands a nice knee to the body.

Rollins breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
The fight stays on the outside here - Rollins looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Stephen Rollins is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Gers takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Gers has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Rollins.
Rollins slips a straight right by Gers.

Rollins clinches.
Rollins with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
Rollins jumps guard but Gers stands there with Rollins around his waist. Rollins gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Rollins throws an elbow but it misses.

Rollins pulls guard.
Gers throws and elbow that misses. Rollins uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Gers's guard. Nice move by Rollins!
Gers wants to sweep here but Rollins controlling him for the moment.
Rollins wants to control from the top but Gers keeps moving.

Rollins preventing the sweep.
Gers is looking to sweep but instead, Rollins has passed into half guard.
Gers moves into full guard.
Rollins stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gers swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Gers is trying to keep Rollins in close.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Rollins looking to pass the guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rollins content to stall in guard here.
Gers lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Rollins!
Dave Gers overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Gers throws some wild stikes that Rollins manages to avoid easily.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Gers misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Rollins defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Gers.
Gers drops a big elbow. That's hurt Rollins! More shots from Gers and the ref steps in! The fight is over!
