Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Filip Grzybowski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johan Du Rand (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Grzybowski comes to the cage accompanied by Rihanna DUBSTEP REMIX. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Du Rand looks to throw the jab but Grzybowski is out of range.
Grzybowski fails with the takedown
and Du Rand counters with a left and a right that stings Grzybowski.
A head kick by Du Rand misses
and Grzybowski makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Du Rand looks gassed!
Du Rand stalks Grzybowski and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Grzybowski's face. Grzybowski staggers backwards, shaken.
It looks like Filip Grzybowski has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Grzybowski tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Du Rand swivels and escapes.

Du Rand tries to get to full guard but Grzybowski has control of the leg.

Du Rand is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Grzybowski misses with a head shot. Du Rand uses the momentum to regain guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Du Rand wants to stand and escape but Grzybowski is having none of it.

Du Rand tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Grzybowski's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Du Rand looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Du Rand goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Grzybowski is on top in guard.
Du Rand wants to hit a switch here but Grzybowski passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Du Rand there!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Grzybowski breaks from Du Rand's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Du Rand wants to control but Grzybowski is having none of it.

You get the feeling that Du Rand really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Du Rand wants to hold on but Grzybowski pushes him away.
Du Rand regains half guard.
Du Rand looks like he's trying to stand up.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Du Rand wants to control but Grzybowski is keeping busy and won't allow it.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Du Rand fails with a takedown attempt.
Du Rand is breathing heavily.
Grzybowski tries to clinch up
and Du Rand counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Du Rand wants to control from the top but Grzybowski keeps moving.
Grzybowski scrambles and gets back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Johan Du Rand showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

and Du Rand counters with a series of strikes. Grzybowski will be more careful next time no doubt.
Du Rand is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Grzybowski's half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Du Rand throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Grzybowski has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Du Rand is working away from the top position though.
Du Rand tries to stand but can't do so whilst Grzybowski controls his leg.

Du Rand perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Du Rand stalling away here and it's allowed Grzybowski to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Du Rand controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Johan Du Rand has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Du Rand shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Grzybowski's guard.
Du Rand missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Grzybowski has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Du Rand can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Grzybowski doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Du Rand counters with a nice double leg into side control. Grzybowski won't be happy with that.
Du Rand content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

The referee asks Du Rand politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Du Rand prefers to stall for the moment though.
Let's hope that Du Rand has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Johan Du Rand comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Du Rand has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
