Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Raimo Pukki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shakyamuni Buddha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
18 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Raimo Pukki! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shakyamuni Buddha! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shigeki Sano and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Buddha throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Pukki counters with a straight right hand. Buddha swings widly with a right hand
and Pukki counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Shakyamuni Buddha seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Buddha throws a lazy uppercut
and Pukki counters with a straight right hand. Pukki throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Buddha counters with a nice double leg into side control. Pukki won't be happy with that. Pukki struggling a bit here. Buddha is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Pukki is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Buddha controlling from side mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Buddha is trying to get an arm triangle but Pukki is defending well. Buddha wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pukki keeps working. Pukki tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Buddha staying calm. Buddha trying to control the position but Pukki is working away. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Buddha tries for a kimura but Pukki is defending well. Buddha thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pukki wants to get back to his feet but Buddha drags him back down. Buddha just content to control the position. Buddha wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Pukki, who protects the arm well. Buddha happy to just control the position for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Pukki is not content to let Buddha control the position. Pukki is trying to control Buddha's posture but Buddha avoids it. Pukki is looking for a sweep.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Buddha thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Buddha working away. Pukki is trying to get back to half guard. Buddha is looking to take a break and control but Pukki is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Buddha is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Pukki has escaped the position, nice work there.
That's six minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Pukki is trying to control Buddha's posture but Buddha avoids it. Buddha is looking to take a break and control but Pukki is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Buddha looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Pukki is looking to regain half guard here but Buddha keeps moving and retains side control.
That's nine minutes gone in the round. Pukki is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Pukki tries to bench press Buddha off him but Buddha keeps the position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Buddha goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Pukki rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Buddha's guard! Nice work there by Pukki! The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Buddha looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Pukki puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Shakyamuni Buddha dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Pukki throws a hook to the side of Buddha's head but Buddha sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Pukki takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Buddha misses with a left hand and Pukki counters with a nice body kick.

and Pukki counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

and Buddha cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Buddha keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Pukki. Pukki lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

and Pukki counters with a lovely straight right hand! No joy there for Buddha, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Buddha slips under a jab. Buddha misses with a double jab
and Pukki counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Buddha throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Pukki counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Pukki fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Pukki lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Buddha throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Pukki connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Buddha throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Pukki. Pukki throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Pukki throws a nice outside leg kick. Buddha stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Buddha's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Buddha duly obliges.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Buddha avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Pukki throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Buddha throws a poor cross that misses
and Buddha takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Pukki gets cracked there but stands up to it.

That's five minutes gone in the round. Pukki moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Buddha misses with an uppercut
and Pukki counters with a nice uppercut. Buddha misses with an uppercut
and Pukki counters with an inside leg kick. Pukki misses with an uppercut. Buddha saw that one coming. Buddha staying out of range there. Pukki takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

The fighters circling - Pukki throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Buddha has his takedown stuffed and Pukki counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Pukki fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Buddha manages to avoid it. Buddha rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Pukki cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Buddha might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Buddha misses with a right hand and Pukki counters with a stiff right hand.
That's seven minutes gone in the round. Nice cross by Pukki. Buddha throws an off balance right hand
and Pukki counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Pukki loads up on a big right hand but Buddha slips the punch. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Buddha rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Pukki counters with a straight right hand. Pukki misses with a shot to the body and Buddha counters with a three punch combo that has Pukki backing up. Pukki nods at Buddha to acknowledge the strikes. Pukki tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Buddha was well out of range. Poor timing from Pukki.
That's eight minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Pukki misses with a hook. Raimo Pukki is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Buddha uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Pukki.
Buddha tries for a takedown but Pukki circles away easily and Pukki counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Buddha gets a double leg takedown into Pukki's guard.
That's nine minutes gone in the round. Buddha wants to control from the top but Pukki keeps moving. Pukki wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Buddha advances position into side control! Buddha is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Pukki has escaped the position, nice work there. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. And that's the end of the fight! Raimo Pukki showed his dominance in that final round. I have no idea who won that fight. Let's wait and see whether the judges are as confused as me! Time for a split decision perhaps?!. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
