Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Banana Split (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Piston Hurricane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Banana Split! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Piston Hurricane! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Gwen Towbar and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hurricane pushes Split up against the cage in a clinch. Hurricane pulls guard. Hurricane controlling the position. Hurricane is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Split postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Hurricane is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Split, into his guard. Hurricane controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Split escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hurricane gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hurricane is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. It looks like Hurricane might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Hurricane wants to control from the top but Split keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Piston Hurricane has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Split closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hurricane to the mat! Hurricane manages to get full guard. Hurricane has control of Split's left arm, preventing Split from doing any damage. Split won't allow Hurricane to sweep him here. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hurricane can do anything to dispel that myth. Hurricane is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Hurricane is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Hurricane is pulling down on Split's head. It's preventing any offense from Split, at least for the moment. Hurricane is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Piston Hurricane wasn't active enough on the ground. Sloppy strikes from Split. Those never looked like landing. Hurricane feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Split is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Hurricane slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Hurricane stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Split swivels though and keeps the full guard. Split is looking to stand up but Hurricane isn't so interested in that idea.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hurricane works a leg free and moves into half guard. Split is breathing heavily. Hurricane looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Hurricane in particular looking to stall. Hurricane's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Piston Hurricane dominated that round. That's time! Split's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Split throws a quick inside leg kick. Split misses with a takedown attempt and Hurricane counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Split! Hurricane controlling his opponent. Split is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Hurricane locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Split is forced to tap!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:32 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Piston Hurricane!
