Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Al Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Paulo Santos and Seu Braga.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie is looking to score with low kicks.
Sanders drops Gracie with a nice combination! Sanders dives into Gracie's guard, looking to finish!


Gracie is rocked!
Sanders has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Sanders tries to free his leg and advance position but Gracie is retaining full guard.
Gracie is still in real trouble! Can Sanders finish him?

Gracie looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Gracie has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sanders can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Gracie wants to sweep here but Sanders controlling him for the moment.

Sanders drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Sanders jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Gracie seems to have recovered his senses.
Sanders wants to pass the guard but Gracie is keeping the position.

Sanders drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Gracie manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Sanders has Gracie in his guard.

Gracie drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Gracie jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Gracie avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Gracie missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Gracie trying to control but Sanders is working from the bottom.

Sanders is looking for a triangle but Gracie pushes his legs off easily.
Sanders controls Gracie momentarily but Gracie frees himself.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sanders looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Gracie puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Gracie is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Sanders doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Gracie.
Sanders trying to get back to full guard but Gracie takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!
Gracie moves to the back position.
Gracie looks gassed!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Gracie tightening his grip on Sanders, looking for the choke.
Sanders breaks Gracie's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Sanders drops back looking for a leg! Gracie is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Gracie manages to kick Sanders off! Sanders jumps back into Gracie's guard.
Sanders trying to control but Gracie is working from the bottom.

Gracie looking for a guillotine here but Sanders defends easily.
Sanders tries to free his leg and advance position but Gracie is retaining full guard.

Gracie is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Gracie is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Gracie is tying to control. Sanders wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Gracie content to control rather than advance.
Sanders is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Sanders looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Gracie wants to pass to mount but Sanders is defending the position.
Gracie moves nicely into side control.
Gracie advances to full mount.
Sanders is trying to escape the mount but Gracie keeps good control and instead manages to take Sanders's back.

Sanders fending off the submission attempt from Gracie.
Sanders rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

Gracie quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Gracie but it's paid off an Sanders is forced to tap! Nice work by Gracie.
