The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chalidow with a poor takedown

and Lucic counters with a nice double leg into side control. Chalidow won't be happy with that.
Chalidow manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Chalidow tries to roll over but Lucic keeps him under control.
Lucic wants to stand up but Chalidow has a hold of him and won't allow it.

Lucic seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Lucic is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Chalidow wants to improve his position but Lucic is controlling well.

It looks like Lucic might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Lucic closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Chalidow did well to prevent Lucic getting side control.
Chalidow is looking for a sweep. Lucic is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Chalidow is looking to sweep but instead, Lucic has passed into half guard.

Chalidow is in trouble now - Lucic has advanced to mount!

Well Lucic has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
