Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sergei Kosilov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Laslo Steiner!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Ivan Kurochkin and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steiner wants to clinch but Kosilov slips to the side
and Kosilov counters with a three punch combo that has Steiner backing up. Steiner nods at Kosilov to acknowledge the strikes.
Kosilov takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Steiner pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Steiner throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

It looks like Sergei Kosilov has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Steiner's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Kosilov shoots in looking for a takedown. Steiner tries to sprawl out of it but Kosilov keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Steiner manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Kosilov is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Steiner defends it well.
