Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matt Balls (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maka Mlaticuljan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mlaticuljan has chosen Tango Šiljeg as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Balls looks to clinch

and Mlaticuljan counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Mlaticuljan pulls guard successfully.
Mlaticuljan manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Balls manages to get himself to full guard.
Balls controls Mlaticuljan momentarily but Mlaticuljan frees himself.
Mlaticuljan trying to control but Balls is working from the bottom.

Mlaticuljan trying to move into half guard but instead Balls has managed to sweep!

Mlaticuljan is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Balls with a nice head shot there.
Balls knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mlaticuljan on the ground.

Mlaticuljan looking to hit a scissor sweep but Balls is one step ahead there.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Maka Mlaticuljan hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Mlaticuljan tries to score a power double leg takedown but Balls sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Mlaticuljan somewhat.

Balls is looking to clinch but Mlaticuljan is avoiding it.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Mlaticuljan tries to move into full mount but can't pass Balls's legs.

Mlaticuljan tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Balls is trying to improve his position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Mlaticuljan is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Balls's shoulder. That is not cool.
You can see the frustration on Balls's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Mlaticuljan is looking to take a break and control but Balls is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Balls tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Mlaticuljan counters by clinching up.
Mlaticuljan just leaning against Balls, taking a breather.
Mlaticuljan goes for a takedown in the clinch but Balls prevents it.

Balls pulls Mlaticuljan into guard.
Balls looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mlaticuljan is one step ahead there.

Mlaticuljan slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Maka Mlaticuljan.
Mlaticuljan shoots in looking for a takedown. Balls tries to sprawl out of it but Mlaticuljan keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Balls manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Mlaticuljan keeps the fight on the outside.
Mlaticuljan swats away the attempt to clinch by Balls.
Balls shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Mlaticuljan pinned against the cage. Mlaticuljan gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Mlaticuljan wants to land a leg kick but Balls is out of range.
Mlaticuljan fails with the takedown.
Matt Balls has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Maka Mlaticuljan.

Balls shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Mlaticuljan defends it nicely.
Mlaticuljan will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Balls takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Balls fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Balls feints a jab promting Mlaticuljan to slip. Balls then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Mlaticuljan slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Balls lands a jab to Mlaticuljan's midsection.

Balls drives through and clinches with Mlaticuljan against the cage.

Balls manages to break the clinch.
Mlaticuljan shoots for a takedown but Balls saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Balls shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Mlaticuljan is trying to defend but Balls finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Mlaticuljan is not content to let Balls control the position.

Balls decides to stand and escape the position.
The fight stays on the outside here - Mlaticuljan looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Mlaticuljan drops back looking for a leg! Balls is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Balls manages to kick Mlaticuljan off! Mlaticuljan jumps back into Balls's guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Mlaticuljan stands and throws Balls's legs to the side, diving into side control.

And that's the end of the fight!
Maka Mlaticuljan comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Mlaticuljan has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
