Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dave Scaum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Myers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Myers has chosen Halloween Theme as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Michael Myers will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dave Scaum! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michael Myers! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Frank Dennis and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Scaum misses with a head kick.
Scaum doesn't succeed with the takedown enabling Myers to counter with a crisp jab. Scaum clinches. Nice body punch from Myers - that landed with a thud.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Myers. Myers cracks Scaum with a nice body shot. Scaum escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Scaum misses with a head kick.
Scaum tries to clinch and Myers counters with a stiff right hand. Scaum throws a sloppy body shot
and Myers counters with a two punch combo. A head kick misses from Myers. Scaum closes this distance looking for a takedown but Myers circles away. Scaum shoots in for a takedown but Myers shows good takedown defense. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dave Scaum. That's going to take a lot out of him. Myers dips down and scores with a jab to the body. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Myers throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Scaum on the side of the head. Scaum shoots in looking for a takedown but Myers manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Scaum's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Myers fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Scaum looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Scaum is breathing heavily. Myers gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Myers tries to break the clinch but Scaum is controlling the position. Scaum tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Scaum is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Myers lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Scaum jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Myers walks away with a smile on his face. Scaum gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Scaum shoots in and drives through. Myers sprawls well. Myers lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Scaum backs up against the cage.
Myers moves into range and connects with a jab. Scaum shoots and misses and Myers counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Myers closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. A nice left hand lands by Myers.
Myers manages to break the clinch.
Donk. Myers catches Scaum right on the button with a cross. Scaum takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Myers pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Scaum back to the cage. Myers follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Scaum closes the distance but Myers moves to the side and Myers counters with a nice uppercut. Myers with a jab. Myers is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Scaum had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Nice body punch from Myers. Scaum with a lazy takedown attempt and Myers cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Myers keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Myers has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Scaum closes this distance looking for a takedown but Myers circles away. Myers connects with a looping right hand.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Scaum misses with a takedown and Myers counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. Myers moves into the clinch. Scaum avoids a wild elbow strike from Myers. Myers is struggling to control the position. Myers breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. The fight moves into the clinch position. Scaum tries to score a body lock takedown but Myers shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Nice body punch from Myers. Scaum being controlled against the cage. Scaum pulls guard effortlessly. Myers trying to control but Scaum is working from the bottom. Myers trying to stand up but can't free himself from Scaum's guard. Myers really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Scaum. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Scaum is looking for a triangle but Myers pushes his legs off easily.
Scaum pushes Myers off and scrambles back to his feet.
Myers works the jab nicely. Myers getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Myers throws a right hand that Scaum ducks under and follows up with a left that Scaum also avoids with ease. Scaum wants to clinch and Scaum takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Scaum tries to clinch there but Myers circles away.
Myers comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Scaum tries to clinch up and Myers connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Scaum feints and as Myers raises his hands in defense, Scaum changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Myers trying to keep a closed guard but Scaum is proving a slippery customer.
Myers wants to stand and escape but Scaum is having none of it. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Scaum scoring with some ground and pound. Scaum trying to control the position from guard on top but Myers is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Michael Myers dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Myers lands the left hand. Scaum shoots in looking for a takedown. Myers tries to sprawl out of it but Scaum keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Myers manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Myers stuffs the takedown attempt from Scaum. Scaum gets slowly back to his feet. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Myers, as that shot connected.
Myers gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Myers trying to control the position.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Myers working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Scaum. Scaum stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Myers swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Scaum stands up from Myers's guard - Scaum perhaps looking for a knockout. Scaum looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dave Scaum. That's going to take a lot out of him. Scaum dives in and grabs Myers's left leg, looking for a takedown. Myers pushes down on Scaum's head and hops out. Myers circles away from the clinch attempt.
Scaum misses with a double jab
enabling Myers to counter with a crisp jab. Scaum misses with a takedown attempt and Myers makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Myers lands with a straight right. Scaum didn't see that one coming. Scaum tries to clinch up but Myers circles away and keeps his distance. The fight moves into the clinch position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Scaum's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Scaum blocks the elbow strike.
Myers effectively controlling the action here. Scaum is trying to maintain a safe position but Myers gets an underhook and turns Scaum into the cage. Scaum working hard to break the clinch. Myers prevents a takedown attempt there.
Myers lands a body punch in the clinch. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Scaum pulls guard effortlessly. Myers wants to stand but Scaum is controlling his posture from full guard. Scaum is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Scaum wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Scaum working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Myers doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Myers manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Myers is sitting in close to Scaum's body. Scaum has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Myers is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Myers is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Scaum.
