And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Tiny Johnson and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chavez clinches with his opponent.
Masahara tries to pull guard but Chavez holds him up against the cage and eventually Masahara drops back down to his feet.
Chavez stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Chavez lands a nice elbow.
It looks like Kosuki Masahara has been cut.
Chavez pushes Masahara back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Chavez lands a knee to the head.
Chavez lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Chavez lands a right hand.
Masahara is rocked!
Chavez has Masahara pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Masahara is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Chavez - that's hurt Masahara badly! Oh, another knee lands and Masahara is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Masahara doesn't seem to be complaining.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knees). Miguel Chavez!
