Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Machete Shilva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kennith Coco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kennith Coco has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Machete Shilva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kennith Coco!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Radbod Blank and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Shilva drives through with a takedown into Coco's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Coco is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Shilva trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Shilva is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

We're going to have a standup here because Machete Shilva wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Coco misses with a double jab

and Shilva counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Coco wants to get back to full guard.

Shilva content to control rather than advance.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Shilva has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Machete Shilva wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Coco gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Shilva to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Shilva seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Shilva wants to control from the top but Coco keeps moving.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Machete Shilva just wasn't active enough.

Shilva closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Coco quickly recovers to half guard.

Shilva is thwarting Coco's attempts to control the position.
Coco is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Coco wants to control but Shilva passes into side.
Coco is looking for a sweep.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Machete Shilva dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Coco throws a combination that misses

and Shilva counters with a nice double leg into side control. Coco won't be happy with that.
Coco tries to control but Shilva manages to take his back.
Shilva controls the action.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Shilva has the hooks in. Coco is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Coco is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Shilva is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Machete Shilva wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Coco thuds a left hand into Shilva's body.

Coco gets caught flat footed, as Shilva shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Coco wants to improve his position but instead Shilva has moved into half guard.
Coco tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Shilva has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Coco is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Shilva controlling the pace for now.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Coco really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Shilva sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Machete Shilva dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.



Shilva shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Coco is trying to defend but Shilva finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Coco is looking to improve his position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Shilva is keen to just control but Coco is a slippery customer.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Machete Shilva has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Shilva closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Coco quickly recovers to half guard.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Coco wants to get back to full guard but Shilva has passed into side control.

Shilva is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Coco will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Coco is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

And that's the end of the fight!
Machete Shilva showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Shilva, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
