Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Teddy Sayre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Boot Head (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sayre comes to the cage accompanied by A Country Boy Can Survive. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Sayre counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

Sayre throws an ugly left hook that misses

That kick from Sayre tenderised Head's leg. Head is trying to keep his angry face on.
Sayre throws a push kick but Head slaps the foot to one side.

and Sayre counters with a nice low kick that buckles Head's knee momentarily.

and Head counters with a nice low kick that buckles Sayre's knee momentarily.
Head throws a leg kick but Sayre sees it coming and moves out of range.

Sayre throws out a loose jab but Head uses good head movement to avoid it.
Head feints and then cracks Sayre's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Sayre down.

Head throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Head turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Teddy Sayre seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Head looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Head blocks a head kick by Sayre.
Head fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Sayre has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Head lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Sayre has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Sayre and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Head looks to land a body kick but Sayre moved away.

and Head finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.

Head pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Head throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Sayre.

A low kick from Sayre is predictable there
and Head counters with a slapping leg kick.
Sayre tries to clinch up but Head circles away and keeps his distance.
Head tries a head kick but it misses.
Sayre lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Good leg kick by Head there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Teddy Sayre is winning the standup battle so far.
Head is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Sayre throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Head.

and Head counters with a good low kick that Sayre was not able to check.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Sayre misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

and Head counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Sayre feints a jab promting Head to slip. Sayre then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Head slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Sayre lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sayre tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Head manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Head stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Sayre.

No joy there for Sayre, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

and Sayre counters with a big head kick but Head shrugs it off.
Teddy Sayre is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Sayre is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Head lands a leg kick that knocks Sayre off balance momentarily.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Teddy Sayre.
Well Sayre has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
