Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jackie Henry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Dawson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Henry comes to the cage accompanied by Fighter. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Daniel Cesar and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Henry gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Dawson counters with a left and a right that stings Henry .
Henry throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Dawson's waist but Dawson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Henry off to one side.
No luck for Henry with that takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jackie Henry . That's going to take a lot out of him.
Henry smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

and Dawson counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Henry drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Henry jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Henry might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Henry has gone for a leg lock! Dawson slips out almost immediately though and dives into Henry 's guard.
Henry has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dawson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Dawson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Dawson is sitting in close to Henry 's body. Henry has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Dawson is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Dawson is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Henry .
