Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Don Corleone! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Livingston Barclay! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Trevor Gratis and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A clash of legs there as Corleone blocks the low kick. Barclay swings and misses with a shot to the body and Corleone counters with a two punch combo. Barclay misses with a wild body shot. Barclay looks to land a combination but Corleone avoids it well. Barclay throws a jab when Corleone was well out of range. Corleone lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Corleone uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Barclay. Corleone fails with a takedown attempt from distance. A slow jab from Corleone misses its intended target. Barclay throws a wild body kick that Corleone sees coming a mile off.
That's one minute gone in the round. Barclay jabs Corleone to the body, keeping him at a distance. Barclay lands a nice shot to the body.

Livingston Barclay is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Sloppy strikes from Corleone. Those never looked like landing. Barclay connects with the punch. Barclay scores with a head kick.
It looks like Don Corleone has been cut. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Barclay misses with a hook. A head kick misses from Barclay. Livingston Barclay seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Barclay throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Corleone stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Corleone is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Corleone needs to keep his hands up - Barclay had a free shot at his head there. Barclay throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Corleone sees it coming and avoids it easily. Barclay misses with a wild body shot. Corleone keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Barclay misses with an uppercut. Corleone saw that one coming. Corleone looks for a takedown but Barclay sprawls well. Barclay cracks Corleone with a big right hand and Corleone goes down!
That's three minutes gone in the round. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Barclay avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Corleone keeping full guard, as Barclay tries to pass. Barclay wants to control from the top but Corleone keeps moving. Barclay working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Barclay tries to free his leg and advance position but Corleone is retaining full guard. Barclay must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Corleone had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Barclay defends it easily. Corleone looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Barclay throwing strikes but missing. Barclay throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Corleone looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Corleone working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Barclay doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Barclay manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Corleone is looking for a triangle here but Barclay uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Barclay tries to score with some ground and pound. Corleone controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. This has been an exciting period of action! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Corleone is not content to let Barclay control the position. Barclay working the ground and pound but Corleone is defending the strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Livingston Barclay dominated that round. The cut man is working on Don Corleone's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Corleone moves out of range of the strikes. Some wild striking there from Barclay.
Don Corleone is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Corleone ducks under a wild hook from Barclay. Corleone misses with a two punch combination.
Barclay rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Corleone moves out of range and avoids them all easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Barclay lands with a shot to the body. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Barclay. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Barclay throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Barclay misses with a looping right.
That's one minute gone in the round. Corleone misses with the combination.
Barclay lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Livingston Barclay seems to be getting the better of the standup. Barclay ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Corleone moves away. Barclay throws a right hand that Corleone ducks under and follows up with a left that Corleone also avoids with ease. Barclay swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Barclay thows a left - swing and a miss! Barclay looks to land a right hand but Corleone moved out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Corleone misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Barclay loads up on a big right hand but Corleone slips the punch. Barclay lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. This has been an exciting period of action! Barclay throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Corleone counters with a nice body shot. Corleone looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Barclay throws out a loose jab but Corleone uses good head movement to avoid it. Jab from Barclay. Corleone uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Barclay.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Corleone fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Barclay lands a nice shot to the body.
Barclay has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Oh, that's a big right hand from Barclay and Corleone goes tumbling to the canvas! Barclay follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.
Corleone is rocked! Corleone blocking the ground and pound attempt from Barclay. Oh Corleone is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Barclay connects with a nice short shot to Corleone's temple. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
This has been an exciting period of action! Barclay wants to pass to mount but Corleone is defending the position. Barclay decides to stand and escape the position. Barclay flashes Corleone a smile before throwing a beast of a right hand, straight down the pipe. Corleone's eyes follow the hand right onto his nose, taking in it's full glory... and then darkness. Corleone crumples to the floor! He's out cold! Barclay punches the air and yells at the top of his lungs - yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!! This one is all over!
