Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John McDowell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carollo Pavlacci (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Robert Douchet and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pavlacci shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as McDowell sprawls well. McDowell wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Pavlacci gets slowly back to his feet.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Carollo Pavlacci hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Pavlacci fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but McDowell avoids it really well and circles away.

Pavlacci changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. McDowell tries to avoid it but Pavlacci manages to keep hold of a leg and drag McDowell to the ground. McDowell escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
McDowell throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Pavlacci changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. McDowell looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Pavlacci has control of McDowell's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and McDowell regains control of the situation pretty easily.
McDowell knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Pavlacci on the ground.
