Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Drew Down (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Justin Agresti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Down's entrance music is 50 Cent - I Get Money. A fine choice. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Taro Takaoka and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Agresti doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Down counters with a good low kick that Agresti was not able to check.
Agresti takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Agresti misses with a takedown
letting Down counter with a right hand.
Agresti shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Down counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Drew Down has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Justin Agresti.
Agresti ducks under a wild hook from Down.
Down connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Agresti wants to clinch
and Down counters with a straight right hand.
Agresti throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Down counters with a nice uppercut.

Down circles away from the clinch attempt
and Down connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Agresti throws a sloppy body shot
and Agresti takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

and Down connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Down lands a jab to the nose.
Down misses with a looping left.
Agresti misses with a takedown
and Down counters with an outside leg kick.
Agresti has his takedown stuffed
and Down counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Agresti looks gassed!

and Down counters with a nice uppercut.
Agresti tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Down counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Down is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Down scores with a nice right hand.
Agresti gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Down.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Agresti tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Down counters with a body kick that stops Agresti in his tracks momentarily.
Down uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Agresti has time to react.
A lazy left from Down finds it's target.
Nice body punch from Down.
Down works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Agresti takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Agresti has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Down.
Down throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Down scores with a body shot.
Down looks to land a left hand but Agresti moved out of range nicely.
Agresti walks into a jab.
Nice body kick there by Down.
Down pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Down lands a body shot.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Down throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

Jab, jab by Down - just one landing.
Agresti doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Down bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Agresti's head.
Agresti shoots and misses
and Down counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Agresti is rocked!
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Agresti crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Down - the referee stops the clock and Agresti gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Down. Agresti manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Agresti is still on wobbly legs! Can Down finish him?
Down closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Agresti! Down dives in looking to finish! Agresti is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Drew Down!
