The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Power slips a jab and a cross from Sudo.
Sudo misses with the combination.
Sudo throws a sloppy head kick
and Power cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

It looks like Hyun Sudo has been cut.
Sudo misses with a hook to the body
and Power counters with a low kick, right behind Sudo 's knee.
Power will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Power swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Sudo pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Power back to the cage. Sudo follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Sudo shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Power defends it nicely.
Sudo tries for a takedown but Power sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Power tries to clinch but Sudo moves out of range.
Sudo goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Sudo throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Sudo throws a head kick but Power moves out of range.
Sudo closes the distance and clinches up with Power, looking for a takedown. Sudo pushes Power against the cage but Power circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Max Power has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hyun Sudo.
Power walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Sudo checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

and Power counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Power's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Sudo fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Power manages to avoid it.
Power is looking to clinch.
Hyun Sudo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Power tries to clinch there but Sudo circles away.
A big right from Power misses.
Sudo closes the distance but Power moves to the side
and Power counters with a good low kick that Sudo was not able to check.

Sudo looks to score with a jab to the body but Power is just out of range.

Power wants to land a leg kick but Sudo is out of range.
Power throws a nice inside leg kick.
Sudo throws a lazy uppercut
and Power counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Power throws a head kick that misses.
Sudo throws a predictable looking body shot
and Power counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Power staying out of range there.
Sudo throws a head kick that half lands.
Sudo avoids a low kick by using good footwork.

Power takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Power jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Power tries to close the distance and clinch up but Sudo swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Sudo misses with a head kick.

Power lands an elbow just above Sudo 's eye.
Sudo tries to land knees in the clinch but Power avoids the damage to the body.
Power looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Sudo is trying to force a seperation but Power has the dominant position.
Sudo is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Power is defending well for now.
Sudo is trying to break the clinch but Power has him pressed against the cage.
Power lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Power gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

That has opened up Hyun Sudo's cut even more.

Sudo tries a knee to the head but Power blocks it.

Power manages to break the clinch.

and Power counters with a thumping low kick.
Sudo takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Sudo takes one to the chin there.

The cut above Hyun Sudo's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Sudo tries a low kick but Power avoids it.
Sudo fails in his attempt to clinch.
Power changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Sudo tries for a takedown but Power circles away easily
and Power connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Power scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Sudo on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Power. Power obviously looking to wear him down.
Power shoots in for a double leg but Sudo sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Power buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Power cracks Sudo with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Hyun Sudo's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

That kick from Power tenderised Sudo's leg. Sudo is trying to keep his angry face on.
Power throws a nice head kick!

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Hyun Sudo's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
