Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Owen Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Plank (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that John Plank was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Owen Lee! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, John Plank! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Plank throws a quick inside leg kick. Plank tries to clinch up but Lee circles away and keeps his distance. Plank chopping away at his opponent's legs.
A head kick by Plank misses and Lee counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Plank fails in his attempt to clinch. Lee throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Plank feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Lee's calf. Plank thows a body kick. Lee tries to catch it but that hurt him. John Plank seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A lazy body kick from Plank and Lee counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lee throws a leg kick and Plank counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Lee misses with a lunging right hand
letting Plank counter with a right hand. A head kick misses from Plank. Lee misses with an uppercut
and Plank counters with a good, hard body kick but Lee shrugs it off. Plank tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Lee manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Lee does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Lee throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Plank cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Plank connects with a solid leg kick. Lee takes one to the chin there. Plank throws out a powerful jab. Lee takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Lee throws a sloppy head kick and Plank counters with a thumping low kick. Lee tries to score with a low kick but Plank moves his leg out of the way. Plank tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lee swings widly with a right hand
and Plank counters with a straight right hand. Plank connects with an inside leg kick. Lee uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Plank. Plank's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Plank duly obliges. Lee misses with a leg kick and Plank counters with a series of strikes. Lee will be more careful next time no doubt. Lee on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Plank throws a nice inside leg kick. A low kick from Lee is predictable there and Plank counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Plank moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Plank is looking to clinch but Lee is avoiding it.
Lee throws a sloppy head kick and Plank counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Plank keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

and Plank counters with a good low kick that Lee was not able to check. Lee throws a sloppy head kick and Plank counters with a nice body shot. A low kick from Lee is predictable there and Plank counters with a low kick, right behind Lee 's knee. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Plank dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
The fight stays on the outside here - Plank looks like he's thinking about clinching though. A head kick by Lee misses and Plank counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Lee is lucky that one didn't land flush. Plank cracks Lee with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. A cross from Plank lands. Plank wants to clinch. A nice inside leg kick there by Plank. That's going to slow Lee down.
That's one minute gone in the round. Plank buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Lee throws a left and a right that both miss
and Plank counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Plank throws a quick inside leg kick. Lee takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Lee lands with a nice combination. Plank backs away looking to recover. Plank checks the leg kick nicely there.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Plank throws out a powerful jab. Both fighters circling a little - Lee finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Lee misses with a hook
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Plank walks into a straight right hand from Lee. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Lee tries to land a leg kick but Plank saw it coming and moves away.
Plank jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Plank lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Lee throws a shot from downtown. Plank moves away and avoids it. Plank scores with a jab to the head.
Lee throws a right hand that misses
and Plank counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Lee thinking. Lee throws a front kick aimed at Plank's knee but Plank avoids it well. Plank misses with a body kick. Plank jabs at Lee's body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lee shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Plank eats them both and turns towards Lee to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Lee throws a sloppy head kick and Plank moves out of range easily. Lee moves out of range of the body kick from Plank.
Plank buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Plank lunges at Lee with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Lee's hand. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Plank scores with a punch to the head. Plank will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Plank showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Plank scores with a nice head shot. Lee fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Plank. Lee throws a leg kick and Plank counters with a right hand to the body. Plank tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Lee paws at him with a jab and circles away. Plank lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Lee looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Lee misses with a leg kick and Plank counters with a thumping low kick. Lee throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lee avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

and Plank counters with a head kick. That will keep Lee thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Plank throws a jab when Lee was well out of range. Lee is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. A telegraphed right hand from Lee misses the target. Plank throws a lazy right hand but Lee sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Lee lands a jab to the head.
John Plank is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lee thows a leg kick but Plank checks it and Plank counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Plank catches Lee with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Lee throws a leg kick and Plank counters with a thumping low kick. Plank throws a nice head kick!
Plank tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Lee was well out of range. Poor timing from Plank. Lee ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Plank moves away. Plank doesn't manage to clinch there - Lee circles away.

A low kick from Lee misses and Plank counters with a low kick, right behind Lee 's knee. Lee swinging wildly here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Plank throws a good cross that connects.
Lee tried to score with a low kick but Plank checks it. Owen Lee is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Nice body punch from Plank. Plank throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Plank connects with a solid leg kick. Owen Lee has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Lee wants to land a leg kick but Plank is out of range. Plank works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
And that's the end of the fight! John Plank comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Plank has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
