Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Quintus Daedalus! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jabari Jelani! The judges for this bout are , and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Daedalus misses with an uppercut
and Jelani counters with a low kick, right behind Daedalus 's knee. Jelani uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Daedalus.
Jelani thumps Daedalus with a low kick. Jelani misses with a jab, cross combination.
Daedalus fails to land the takedown. Jelani scores with a nice body kick.
Daedalus is breathing heavily. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Jelani throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Daedalus swings for the body but Jelani moves out of range.
Daedalus misses with a left hand and Jelani counters with an outside leg kick.

Quintus Daedalus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nice cross by Jelani.
It looks like Quintus Daedalus has been cut. Jelani dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Daedalus. That did some damage! Good leg kick by Jelani there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Jelani with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Jelani feints and then cracks Daedalus's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Daedalus down. Daedalus steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Jelani. That one must have hurt. Jelani lands a nice leg kick that just misses Daedalus's sensitive parts. Jelani feints a jab promting Daedalus to slip. Jelani then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Daedalus slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Jelani throws a sloppy head kick and Daedalus moves out of range easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Daedalus crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Jelani - the referee stops the clock and Daedalus gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Jelani. Daedalus manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Jelani throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Daedalus's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Jelani dives in looking to finish as Daedalus flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Jelani's strikes! Jelani is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Daedalus's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Daedalus was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
