Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kama Sutra!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Francois Dominic!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Emerson Jorge and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sutra gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sutra keeping full guard, as Dominic tries to pass.
Sutra is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Dominic stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sutra swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Sutra can't keep his opponent in guard - Dominic advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Dominic thows a huge punch but Sutra dodges it nicely.
Dominic wants to pass the guard but Sutra is defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Dominic is keen to just control but Sutra is a slippery customer.
Dominic might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Sutra kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Dominic is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Dominic tries to pass to full mount but Sutra defends it.
Dominic is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Sutra sees it coming and defends easily.
Dominic is controlling the pace.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Dominic not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Dominic missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Dominic moves into full mount! Sutra won't be happy about that!
Dominic controlling his opponent.
Dominic looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Dominic has hold of Sutra's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Sutra manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Dominic swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Sutra is now in Dominic's guard. A big mistake from Dominic there, giving up the dominant position!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Dominic keeping moving, preventing Sutra from controlling successfully.
Dominic throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Sutra has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Dominic has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Sutra doesn't defend quickly enough and Dominic has managed to lock this one up! Can Sutra escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Dominic on a fantastic submission victory.
