Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Casey Ryback (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mason Capwell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Capwell is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: The Haunted - 99. Casey Ryback has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Casey Ryback! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mason Capwell! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Russell Pearce and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Capwell feints and as Ryback raises his hands in defense, Capwell changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Ryback working a defensive guard here.
Ryback wants to sweep here but Capwell controlling him for the moment. Ryback is working hard here to advance position. Ryback controls Capwell momentarily but Capwell frees himself. Capwell postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Capwell stopping the sweep attempt from Ryback. Capwell is stalling in the full guard. Capwell trying to control but Ryback is working from the bottom.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Ryback displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Capwell throws out the jab. Casey Ryback seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Capwell counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Ryback holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Ryback has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Capwell is working away from the top position though. Capwell missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Ryback wants to improve his position but Capwell is controlling well.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well, if Capwell is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ryback wants to improve his position but Capwell is controlling well.

Ryback wants to control but Capwell postures up. Ryback is not content to let Capwell control the position. Ryback is letting Capwell control him for a moment. Ryback is looking for a sweep. Capwell trying to control the action but Ryback is working from the bottom. Ryback gets back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ryback is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Capwell's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Capwell's back! Ryback will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Capwell manages to reverse the position and now he's in Ryback's guard. Nice work there by Capwell.
Capwell advances position into side control! Ryback is looking for a sweep. Capwell tries to move into full mount but can't pass Ryback's legs. Capwell trying to control the position but Ryback is working away. Capwell misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Capwell tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Capwell lands a few punches from side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Capwell thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Capwell throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Ryback manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Ryback seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Capwell is looking to improve his position.

Mason Capwell dominated that round. That's time! Ryback's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Ryback lands an overhand right. The crowd cheers as Ryback lands an impressive looking overhand right. Capwell doesn't seem phased though. Good exchange - Ryback coming out on top. Capwell lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Ryback misses with a left hand and Capwell counters with a single leg into guard. Ryback didn't expect that.
That's one minute gone in the round. Capwell in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Capwell throws a big right hand that misses. Ryback looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Capwell postures up.

and Capwell counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Ryback! Capwell content just to control the position here. Capwell throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Ryback is trying desperately to improve position. Capwell with shots to the head and body - Ryback looks very uncomfortable down there.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Capwell landing strikes from the mount.
It looks like Casey Ryback has been cut. Ryback tries to hold on but Capwell pushes him away. Ryback tries to reverse the position but Capwell maintains control. Capwell tries to control but Ryback wriggling away. Ryback sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Capwell thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Ryback is trying to stand up here but Capwell is controlling him well. Capwell not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Capwell is trying to control. Ryback wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Capwell is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Capwell sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Ryback defending well though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Capwell lands strikes from half guard. Capwell lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Capwell is figuring out what he wants to do next. Ryback regains full guard. Nicely done. Capwell throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Capwell chips away with some ground and pound. Capwell wants to control from the top but Ryback keeps moving. Capwell being controlled here momentarily. Capwell seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Capwell misses with the ground and pound. Capwell tries for a kimura but Ryback is defending well. Capwell grinds an elbow into Ryback's temple. Capwell lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Ryback struggling a bit here. Capwell lands some shots froms side control. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Capwell working away. Capwell trying to control the action but Ryback is working from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mason Capwell showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Casey Ryback's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Ryback throws a body punch but Capwell moves out of range. Ryback thuds his right hand into Capwell's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ryback lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

That's one minute gone in the round. Ryback lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Ryback slips under a jab. Capwell throws a right hand that misses
and Ryback counters with a stiff right hand. Capwell lands a body shot.
Ryback is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Ryback takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Capwell throws a shot to the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Ryback slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Capwell misses with an uppercut
and Ryback counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Capwell shoots in for a takedown but Ryback shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Ryback leaves Capwell with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Ryback is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Ryback is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Capwell.

and Capwell counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Capwell working over Ryback with some ground and pound. Ryback looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Ryback tries to roll over but Capwell keeps him under control. Capwell lands with a punch from half guard. Capwell throwing shots but Ryback is blocking nicely. Ryback controlling the leg, holding on to half guard. Ryback has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Capwell is working away from the top position though. Capwell sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Ryback defending well though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ryback keeping hold of Capwell's head, controlling as best he can. Capwell thows a huge punch but Ryback dodges it nicely.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Capwell passes into side control, despite Ryback's attempt to control the position.

Capwell is looking to take a break and control but Ryback is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. And that's the end of the fight! Mason Capwell comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Capwell winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
