Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jack Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Russell Pearce and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Speed tries for a takedown but Johnson circles away easily
and Johnson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Johnson misses with a body shot.
Johnson throws a right and a left that both miss.
Johnson lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Johnson misses with a looping right.
Speed showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Johnson.

Speed blocks a head kick by Johnson.
Johnson lands a lovely overhand right.
Johnson dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Speed takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Speed has his takedown stuffed
and Johnson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Johnson just misses with a punch to the body.
Johnson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
No joy there for Johnson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Speed tries for a takedown but Johnson circles away easily
and Johnson counters with a three punch combo that has Speed backing up. Speed nods at Johnson to acknowledge the strikes.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cameron Speed. That's going to take a lot out of him.

A decent looking cross lands there for Johnson.
Johnson misses with a series of wild punches.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Speed. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Johnson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Johnson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Speed.
Johnson scores with a sloppy right hand. Speed should have avoided that one.
Speed fails with a takedown attempt.
Johnson fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Speed looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Speed takes one to the chin there.
Johnson listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Speed doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Johnson counters with a lovely shot to the body.

Speed misses with a body kick.
Johnson lands with a nice body punch.
This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Speed might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.

Speed gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Johnson counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Johnson throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Jack Johnson seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Johnson ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

and Speed decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Johnson's guard.
Speed won't allow Johnson to sweep him here.

Johnson is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Johnson has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Speed off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Speed misses with a body kick.

Speed lands a leg kick that knocks Johnson off balance momentarily.
Jack Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Johnson scores with a jab. Speed acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Speed walks into a jab.
Johnson bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Johnson misses with a leg kick
and Speed counters with a slapping leg kick.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Johnson thuds a left hand into Speed's body.
Johnson tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jack Johnson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Johnson looks to land a combination but Speed avoids it well.
Speed takes a jab right on the kisser.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Johnson throws a jab when Speed was well out of range.
Speed throws a body kick that misses.

Johnson tries to bum rush Speed with a series of wild strikes but Speed uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

and Speed counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
A bone on bone clash there as Speed blocks the leg kick.
Johnson scores with a jab to the jaw.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Johnson's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Johnson duly obliges.
Donk. Johnson catches Speed right on the button with a cross.
Johnson lands a two punch combo.
Jack Johnson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Speed throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Johnson with a nice cross.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Johnson lands with a cross.

Johnson connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Speed momentarily.
Johnson misses with a body shot.
Johnson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Johnson.

Johnson throws a hook to the side of Speed's head but Speed sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Speed finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Sloppy strikes from Johnson. Those never looked like landing.
Johnson throws a nice looking combination but Speed bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Speed.
Cameron Speed has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Johnson misses with a two punch combination.

Jack Johnson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Johnson winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
