Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jeganathan Mondero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sione Finau (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Finau is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: "Ninja Gaiden" by The Minibosses. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Finau tries to land a front kick but Mondero steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Mondero shoots in and drives through. Finau sprawls well.
Finau keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Finau throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mondero throws a hook but Finau blocks it.
Finau avoids the body shot from Mondero.
Mondero throws a front kick aimed at Finau's knee but Finau avoids it well.

Mondero uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Finau.
Mondero throws a low kick, looking for Finau's leg but Finau calmly moves out of range.
Mondero doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Finau makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Mondero really felt that one!

enabling Mondero to counter with a crisp jab.

It looks like Sione Finau has been cut.
Finau chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Mondero can pounce on him.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Mondero shoots in for a double leg but Finau sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

and Mondero counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Finau pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Mondero throws an overhand right that lands on Finau's shoulder, as Finau tries to avoid the shot.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

The cut man is working on Sione Finau's cut.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Mondero throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Finau ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Mondero throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Finau counters with a slapping leg kick.

Finau misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Mondero.

A chopping leg kick lands by Finau.
Finau shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Finau misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Sione Finau has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Finau is looking to clinch.
Finau misses with a head kick.
Finau slips under a jab from Mondero.
Some bone on bone action there as Mondero checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Mondero shoots and misses
and Finau counters with a single leg into guard. Mondero didn't expect that.
Finau missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Mondero has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Finau passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Mondero tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Finau wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Finau tries for a kimura but Mondero is defending well.
Mondero on the wrong end of some ground and pound.

Sione Finau comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Mondero has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
