Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Douglas Quaid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Douglas Quaid! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Marcus Jones! The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Jorge Garcia and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones feints and as Quaid raises his hands in defense, Jones changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Jones trying to control but Quaid is working from the bottom. Jones looking to sit in guard and control but Quaid gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Quaid trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Quaid missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Jones is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Jones looking for a guillotine here but Quaid defends easily.
Quaid throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Quaid throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Jones works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Quaid is working Jones over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Quaid postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Quaid got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jones has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Quaid has managed to get both his arms back between Jones's legs - danger averted. Jones bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Quaid's guard. Jones stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Quaid swivels though and keeps the full guard. Quaid wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Jones wants to pass the guard but Quaid is keeping the position. Jones drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Quaid manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Jones has Quaid in his guard. Jones is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Quaid defends well. Quaid is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Quaid chips away with some ground and pound. Quaid is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Jones is looking for a triangle but Quaid pushes his legs off easily.
Quaid has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Quaid landing some decent shots from guard. Quaid trying to control but Jones is working from the bottom. This has been an exciting period of action! Jones working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Quaid doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Quaid manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Quaid working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Jones's head. Jones is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Quaid is working Jones over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Quaid connects with a couple of short punches.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Quaid postures up and lands a big shot to Jones's brow. Quaid scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Quaid working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Jones's head. Quaid throws a big right hand that misses. Jones looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Jones has his foot on Quaid's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Quaid works his way back into a safe position though. Jones looks gassed! Quaid keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Jones's head. Quaid works over Jones with some ground and pound from guard. Jones keeping moving, preventing Quaid from controlling successfully. Quaid might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Quaid cracks Jones with a solid left hand. Jones looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Quaid is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Quaid lands a couple of digs. Quaid controls from within his opponent's guard. Jones has his foot on Quaid's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. That's four minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Quaid postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Quaid lands a couple of digs. Quaid advances to half guard. Quaid working over Jones with some ground and pound. Jones looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Jones gets full guard. Quaid works a leg free and moves into half guard. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Quaid connects with a nice short shot to Jones's temple. Jones looking for submissions off his back. Quaid seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Quaid slips a nice elbow through Jones's hands, connecting with Jones's forehead. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ground and pound from Quaid. Jones is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Quaid pulls his head out easily. Jones tries to get to full guard but Quaid has control of the leg. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Douglas Quaid dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Quaid dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Quaid throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Jones on the side of the head.
It looks like Marcus Jones has been cut. Jones ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Quaid ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Jones is breathing heavily. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Quaid throws a looping overhand right but Jones ducks down to avoid it. Quaid lands a jab to the nose.
That's one minute gone in the round. A jab from Quaid misses. Quaid lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Jones sprawling to the canvas. Quaid follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Jones hang on? Quaid takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Quaid is thwarting Jones's attempts to control the position. Quaid frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Jones is wriggling around trying to escape.
Jones taking shots to the head. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Quaid postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Jones in real trouble here! The ref calls for Jones to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
