Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hatzu Hayoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rickardo Lando (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Hatzu Hayoki! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rickardo Lando! The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Mauricio Rocha and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lando misses with a hook. Hayoki ducked under it nicely. Lando throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Lando is looking to clinch but Hayoki is avoiding it.
Lando moves out of range as Hayoki throws a body kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lando tries to clinch but Hayoki is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lando tries to clinch but Hayoki moves away and Hayoki counters with a nice double leg into guard. Lando controlling Hayoki's posture. Hayoki stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lando swivels though and keeps the full guard. Lando is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Hayoki wants to control from the top but Lando keeps moving. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Lando holds on and takes a little breather.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Rickardo Lando hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Lando tries to close the distance and clinch but Hayoki swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Lando tries to clinch but Hayoki moves out of range. Lando tries to clinch but Hayoki is having none of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. No joy there for Lando, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Hayoki misses with a takedown and Hayoki takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Lando tries to clinch but fails miserably and Hayoki makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Lando really felt that one!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Lando wants to clinch but Hayoki slips to the side and Hayoki counters with a nice double leg into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hayoki trying to control from half guard but Lando is working away. Lando has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Hayoki is working away from the top position though. Hayoki is trying to work for a kimura but Lando is defending well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hayoki thows a huge punch but Lando dodges it nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lando moves out of range of the body kick. Rickardo Lando seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lando misses with a series of wild punches.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Hayoki looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Lando tries to land a sweep but no joy. Hayoki is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Hayoki stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lando swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hayoki throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Lando works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Hayoki stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lando swivels though and keeps the full guard. Hayoki is working hard here to advance position. Hayoki wants to control from the top but Lando keeps moving. Hayoki throwing strikes from guard but Lando blocks nicely. Hayoki tries to free his leg and advance position but Lando is retaining full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Lando pulls Hayoki in close to prevent any damage. Lando tries to land a sweep but no joy. Hayoki is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Lando keeping moving, preventing Hayoki from controlling successfully. Lando really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hayoki. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Hayoki drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hayoki jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Hayoki is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hatzu Hayoki dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Hayoki with a poor takedown and Lando counters with a left and a right that stings Hayoki. Lando is looking to clinch but Hayoki is avoiding it.
Lando closes the distance but Hayoki moves to the side and Hayoki counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lando gets full guard. Hayoki trying to control the position from guard on top but Lando is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Hayoki controlling from the top position. Lando wants to sweep here but Hayoki controlling him for the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hayoki passes into half guard. Lando is looking for a sweep. Hayoki is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Hayoki is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Ground and pound from Hayoki. Lando is holding on to half guard well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lando is trying to maintain the position but Hayoki is very close to passing his half guard. Hayoki uses his free foot to push down on Lando's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Lando. Lando defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Hayoki. Lando tries to hold on but Hayoki pushes him away. Hayoki prevents Lando from getting the reversal. Lando is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Rickardo Lando has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Hatzu Hayoki is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
And that's the end of the fight! Hatzu Hayoki showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Hayoki, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
