Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Samuel Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Samuel Jackson looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Samuel Jackson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, John Johnson! The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Alexandre Firmino and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jackson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Johnson's guard. Johnson looking to control.
Jackson throws a strike but Johnson rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Johnson decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Jackson lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Johnson tries to clinch but Jackson moves out of range. Jackson shoots and misses and Johnson counters by moving into the clinch. Johnson jumps guard and drags Jackson to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Johnson is on top in guard.
Johnson advances to half guard. Johnson is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson passes the guard and advances to mount! Johnson stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. Johnson instigates a clinch. Johnson gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Jackson.
Jackson is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Johnson pulls him back up using the underhooks. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Samuel Jackson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jackson is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Johnson gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Johnson controlling the action here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jackson wants to sweep but Johnson has passed to side control! Jackson trying to remain calm as Johnson controls from the top position. Johnson has hold of Jackson's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Jackson tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Johnson cranks the arm and Jackson screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Jackson, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:02 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). John Johnson!
