Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Pirate Everett! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Albert Steller! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Richard Clark and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Steller lands with an overhand left.
It looks like Pirate Everett has been cut. Steller connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Everett momentarily.
Everett is rocked! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Everett shoots in looking for a takedown but Steller manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Everett's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Pirate Everett seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Everett throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Steller's waist but Steller gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Everett off to one side. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Everett is defended easily by Steller. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pirate Everett. That's going to take a lot out of him. Everett shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Everett drops his hands momentarily. Steller doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Everett staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Everett doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
