Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Primo Sandoval! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Feng Wei! The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Edson Gomes and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sandoval tries to bum rush Wei with a series of wild strikes but Wei uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Sandoval moves into the clinch successfully.
Wei has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Sandoval regains guard immediately. Sandoval tries to land a sweep but no joy. Wei must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Sandoval has momentary wrist control but Wei slips an elbow through the middle. Sandoval looking for a sweep. Not yet Sandoval, not yet. Sandoval trying to control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they both work up against the meshing. Sandoval being controlled here, momentarily. Wei avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Sandoval is breathing heavily. Wei throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wei looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Wei passes Sandoval's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Wei controlling the action here. Sandoval is looking to escape. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Wei working over Sandoval with some ground and pound. Sandoval looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
It looks like Primo Sandoval has been cut.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wei has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Wei with the ground and pound from mount. Wei sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Wei lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Sandoval hang on? Wei postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Sandoval looks a forlorn figure.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Sandoval is looking to improve his position but Wei isn't that keen on the idea. Wei landing strikes, looking to finish! Wei with the ground and pound from mount. Wei postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Sandoval looks a forlorn figure.

Wei controlling the pace for now. Wei is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Sandoval can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wei lands a big elbow.
Primo Sandoval's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Wei controlling the position easily from mount. Wei with the ground and pound from mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Feng Wei dominated that round. The cut man is working on Primo Sandoval's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Wei feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Wei looking to pass the guard. Wei looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Wei with a nice head shot there.
Jeez, Primo Sandoval's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked. Wei working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Sandoval keeping moving, preventing Wei from controlling successfully.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Feng Wei. Sandoval tries a head kick but it misses.
Sandoval tries for a takedown but Wei circles away easily and Wei counters with a shoot takedown. Sandoval fights it but they end up in guard. Wei really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sandoval. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sandoval not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Wei sitting in guard, not really doing much. Wei loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Wei throws a strike but Sandoval rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Sandoval will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Wei keeping moving, preventing Sandoval from controlling successfully. Wei tries to strike from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Wei scores with a short punch from the bottom. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Wei keeping moving, preventing Sandoval from controlling successfully. Sandoval has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Wei is proving hard to escape from. Wei bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Sandoval's guard. Wei sitting in guard here, content to control. Wei tries to free his leg and advance position but Sandoval is retaining full guard. Wei keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Sandoval's head.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Primo Sandoval's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:01 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Feng Wei!
